Listen up Marines....Sega's announced a 2013 title that will give you reason to live after you've seen Prometheus for the fifth time. Aliens is getting a sequel in video game form.
The first person shooter is under production at Gearbox (makers of Borderlands and Brothers in Arms). You'll have pulse rifles, motion trackers, flame throwers, and from the looks of things the giant lifting rigs that Ripley used to such fine affect in Aliens.
From the sounds of things the game will focus on a weapons upgrade plan to keep the game interesting. The better you play, the better equipment and perks you'll get.
No mention yet about multiplayer or co-op, but squad based bonuses are referred to in the announcement.
