I’ve never enjoyed a word game more than Word Thief. The object of the game is to make words from cards. When a word is made of all one suit, the cards are removed from the game. However, if you put down a word made with an “A” of hearts and a “T” of spades, then your opponent might steal that word and its points and use them in combination with the cards in his or her hand to make a new word or words. Bonus points are given for longer words, but one of the attractions of the game is that it can be played by younger spellers as the words tend to be shorter and simpler than you’ll find in an average game of Scrabble. You can keep score by pencil or using the included chips. With words (and points) frequently changing hands, the poker chips actually work easier than the pencil and paper method.
