Review: Habu Mouse

The $69.99 Habu Mouse is a result of a partnership of sorts between Microsoft and long-time uber-mouse-maker Razer designed from the ground up for serious gamers. Like the ill designed Reclusa keyboard, the Habu has glowing blue trim; even the scroll wheel is illuminated. Unlike the Reclusa, however, the Habu’s design is actually helpful to gamers. The mouse can be adjusted, on the fly from 400 to 2000 dpi.

You can choose from two snap-in panels for the mouse that place the side buttons in slightly different configurations (one up high, the other down toward the mousepad).

Excellent software (from Razer) makes the mouse highly configurable – even to the extent of allowing macros to be assigned to buttons on the mouse. Ultimately, a mouse has to fit your hand, not mine. I highly recommend taking the Habu for a test spin at your local retailer.
